Stella & Dot Holiday 2021 Preview

It has been a while since I blogged about a Stella & Dot launch. Covid-19 and the Stella & Dot re-org caused a lot of change in the organization. I felt the jewelry design was uninspiring and not unique. It was the same pieces over and over again in a different colorway and only a few pieces would launch at a time. Then there were shipping delays and products canceled because the quality was bad and on and on it went. I was getting really frustrated and expressed my concern on every company survey that was sent. I kept asking/ begging for more semi-precious stone pieces. Requesting they hire old Chloe + Isabel jewelry design team members. A LONGSHOT I know, but a girl can dream right. Four surveys later, and it seems like there is light shining at the end of the tunnel- Stella and Dot Holiday 2021!

Semi-Precious Stones- Oh MY!

That’s right, semi-precious stones are back as well as statement necklaces! My Swarovski crystalized heart screamed for joy when I saw the below pictures from HOOPLA( Stella & Dot’s annual conference). I had to pause and replay the Zoom video several times because I couldn’t believe my eyes. Color! Bling! Emerald Cuts! It was like Elton John’s The Bitch is Back! We have a new head of design that has run design at several ready-to-wear fashion houses! Young jewelry design talent coming in from FIT with briefs that would inspire any editorial spread and with serious high fashion architectural elements. It was fashion magic. That euphoric hit of dopamine when you see a collection and the design just wakes up every cell in your body. It is, I need to start booking my social calendar up so can get DRESSED, energy.
